Hatha Yoga for all levels at innerOM

Hatha Yoga creates balance through the combination of movement, meditation, and breathing. Hatha Yoga developed in the 2nd millennium BC within Shivaite Tantrism and offers a wonderful introduction to the world of Yoga. Let us take a quick look at what to expect in a Hatha class and why this style of Yoga is perfect for all levels.

What you can expect from a Hatha Yoga Class at innerOM

During our classes, you will always have a qualified instructor at your side to support you in your practice. Hatha Yoga offers the possibility to vary Asanas. Even the well-known sun salutation can be practiced in the simplest way, up to a very challenging variation. Yoga is never a competition. Neither with yourself nor with your fellow students in the class. Yoga brings you closer to yourself, teaches patience and dedication. During our classes we want you to be able to enjoy your time and understand the essentials of Yoga.

The balance of movement, mediation, and breathing

Hatha Yoga consists of three main pillars

  • Movement
  • Meditation
  • Breathing

By combining these three pillars into one practice, we can improve blood circulation through conscious breathing. Learning to control your breath allows for staying calmer and more relaxed in everyday life situations. Calmness can lead to a reduction of stress and better overall health.
You also have a good chance of calming down your heart rate and improving your sleep by learning how to quiet your thoughts and listen to your body & mind carefully.

Of course, you will also experience a positive impact on your body. Practicing Yoga can release tension and prevent painful back issues by keeping your muscles, ligaments, and tendons supple. It strengthens the body and has a positive impact on your balance.

A possible structure of a Hatha Yoga Class at innerOM

We trust our wonderful teachers to the fullest. We know, they will have sweet surprises during some classes in store for you, but we want to give you a brief glimpse into what a Hatha Yoga Class at innerOM might look like. Our instructors will most definitely give you a warm welcome and ask you to make yourself feel comfortable. We are a very inclusive community and therefore make sure you, and everybody else, feels secure during practice. We will typically start with a suitable warm-up to prevent injury. Breathing techniques are also a basic we like to use to start the class. During the next section, our teacher will guide you through a prepared sequence of Asanas which she/he can adapt to your ability. We love to finish off classes with a meditation or a simple Savasana to allow for bliss and quietness.

We would love to welcome you to one of your Hatha Yoga classes and can`t wait to guide you through an hour of your day, which is solely dedicated to yourself, your body & mind.
